Officials now say up to ten thousand pounds worth of tilapia suffocated and died due to vandalism last weekend. The ongoing investigation into the breakin at a fish farm in South Charlotte County now reveals that the aeration system for six large fish tanks was damaged, causing a lack of oxygen for the fish to breathe.
