Charlotte County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a Port Charlotte woman on Tuesday after she tried to get some pain killers.

Sheriff’s investigators said employees of Charlotte County Medical Solutions in Port Charlotte told them that on August 15th that 40 year old Bonnie Palon of Glendale Avenue tried to pass a fraudulent MRI report to get Oxycodone. Detectives investigated, talked with a nurse at the clinic who confirmed the MRI was a fake. On August 31, they went to a pain clinic in Fort Myers on a tip that Palon succeeded in getting Oxycodone using the same MRI. Detectives found Palon, arrested her and charged her with Fraudulent Attempt to Obtain a Controlled Substance. She was taken to jail and bonded out.
